South Jakarta transport agency clears illegal parking on Gunawarman-Senopati
Eight motorcycles were hauled away, 17 had their valve stems removed, one car was towed, and an illegal parking attendant was removed.
The South Jakarta Transportation Subagency cracked down on illegal parking on Jalan Gunawarman and Jalan Senopati, Kebayoran Baru, on Thursday, after reports of parking violations in the area went viral on social media. The joint operation from 13:30 to 15:30 WIB involved Sudinhub Jakarta Selatan, TNI, Brimob, Polres Metro Jakarta Selatan, and Satpol PP Jakarta Selatan. As a result, officers hauled away eight motorcycles, removed the valve stems from 17 motorcycles, and towed one car. Officers also moved along a social welfare problem individual who was working as an illegal parking attendant. South Jakarta Sudinhub chief Bernad Pasaribu said vehicles were penalized if they were not moved within more than 10 minutes after their owners were called.
