G7 leaders gather in France as Trump threatens 100% wine tariff

What's next: Leaders plan talks on Iran, Ukraine and China-linked supply chains through June 17 in Evian-les-Bains.

Group of Seven leaders began arriving in Evian-les-Bains on June 15 for a summit dominated by President Donald Trump's trade threats and uncertainty over U.S. policy on Iran and Ukraine. Trump warned he could impose 100% tariffs on French wine unless Paris drops its digital tax on American tech companies. The three-day meeting runs through June 17 and is expected to focus on a preliminary U.S.-Iran deal to end the war, Ukraine's push for more military funding and efforts to secure critical minerals outside China. Trump is also scheduled to meet President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The summit opens as allies weigh whether a ceasefire with Iran could ease tensions enough for broader coordination at the G7.
