Modi Arrives at Parliament, Welcomed by Prabowo, Gibran, Puan

The Indian prime minister is set for a two-day visit to Indonesia, including Prambanan and the signing of several memorandums.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the parliament complex in Jakarta on Tuesday evening to attend a meeting with the MPR, DPR and DPD. Modi arrived at about 16.19 WIB and was greeted by President Prabowo Subianto, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, House Speaker Puan Maharani, MPR Speaker Ahmad Muzani and DPD Speaker Sultan B Najamudin. Before Modi arrived, Prabowo had come at about 15.52 WIB. After the welcome, Modi signed a document prepared by parliament and then entered the Pustakaloka Room in the Nusantara IV Building. The visit is part of Modi's two-day working trip to Indonesia, following a bilateral meeting at Istana Merdeka that produced 15 RI-India agreements. On the next agenda, Modi is scheduled to visit Candi Prambanan and sign several MoU.
