Real Madrid reach transfer deal for Yan Diomande from Leipzig
The fee is reported to top 100 million euros, with PSG out of the race and Madrid preparing medical tests in the Spanish capital.
Real Madrid are reportedly close to finalizing a transfer for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande after Paris Saint-Germain pulled out of the race. Several reports say a framework agreement between Madrid and Leipzig has been reached, with the transfer fee expected to exceed 100 million euros and possibly reach 120 million euros. The 19-year-old Ivory Coast player is also said to have agreed personal terms and is preparing to fly to Madrid for medical tests.
Diomande emerged as a major target after his breakout season with Leipzig in the Bundesliga. He scored 12 goals and provided eight assists, helping the club finish third, and had also been linked with Liverpool and Manchester City. PSG, which had previously been described as the player’s preferred destination, said on Sunday it was withdrawing all of its interest and offers.
