Singapore police arrest 46-year-old after Jalan Besar crash injures rider

A 46-year-old man was arrested after a car and motorcycle collided at the junction of Kitchener Road and Jalan Besar in Singapore on July 12, leaving the rider hurt. Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force said they were alerted at about 9:40 p.m. The 28-year-old motorcyclist was taken conscious to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Video circulating online appeared to show a dark-colored car entering the junction from Kitchener Road while traffic in the opposite direction faced a red light, before the motorcycle struck the car. The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing hurt, and police investigations are continuing.
