Tate brothers arrested in Florida on UK extradition request

What's new: Andrew Tate now faces 42 UK charges and Tristan Tate 17, with US court proceedings that their lawyer said could take about 60 days.

Andrew and Tristan Tate appeared in federal court in Miami on Monday after US authorities arrested them under British extradition proceedings. The case stems from charges pursued by the Crown Prosecution Service and Bedfordshire Police, which said Andrew Tate faces seven more counts of rape, three trafficking-related counts, three assault counts and 19 additional counts tied to indecent images of a child and extreme pornography. Tristan Tate faces new rape, sexual assault and trafficking-related counts. The alleged offenses date from July 2010 to August 2017. The brothers, who deny the allegations, had been living in Romania, where they also remain under criminal investigation.
