Israeli strikes in Gaza killed at least six people on June 20, including two children in Gaza City and Al Jazeera cameraman Ahmed Wishah in Bureij refugee camp, Palestinian health officials said. One strike hit an apartment in the Sabra neighborhood before dawn, while later attacks in Bureij, Muwasi and Gaza City caused more deaths and injuries. The Israeli military said it struck a militant in one incident and was reviewing another. The attacks came despite a ceasefire that took effect on Oct. 10, 2025. Gaza's Health Ministry says more than 1,010 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire since the truce, while Israel says five of its soldiers have been killed in the same period.
