The U.S. military completed a fresh round of strikes on Iran late Monday, extending its campaign to a 10th straight night as American troop deaths in the conflict rose to 17. U.S. Central Command said the roughly five-hour operation hit command centers, missile and drone launch sites, maritime assets, air defenses and communications networks. Washington says the attacks are meant to weaken Iran's ability to strike commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, a key oil chokepoint. But vessel movements remain depressed: Kpler counted just 30 verified transits between Friday and Sunday. Brent crude was last up 32 cents at $88.42 a barrel, while West Texas Intermediate gained 1 cent to $82.50.
