LRT Jakarta Phase 1B targeted to begin operation in August 2026
Progress on the Velodrome-Manggarai line has reached 95 percent, extending the route to 12.2 km with 11 stations.
The DKI Jakarta provincial government is targeting LRT Jakarta Phase 1B on the Velodrome-Manggarai route to begin operation in August 2026. DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo inspected the line from Pegangsaan Dua to Kayu Manis on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, and said project progress had reached 95 percent. The 6.4-kilometer extension will add five new stations: Rawamangun, Pramuka, Kayu Manis, Matraman, and Manggarai. With the addition, the total LRT Jakarta line from Pegangsaan Dua to Manggarai will reach 12.2 kilometers with 11 stations. Pramono also decided to continue construction to Dukuh Atas, about two more kilometers, to expand rail transit connectivity in Jakarta.
