2026 World Cup watch party festival in Pekanbaru tops Rp200 million
Transactions were recorded over five days, with about 50 MSME stalls operating from the semifinal through the final.
The 2026 Festival Rakyat and World Cup watch party at Taman Tunjuk Ajar Integritas in Pekanbaru generated economic turnover of more than Rp200 million over five days. Kadin Riau said the figure came from buying and selling activity at about 50 guided MSME stalls that took part from the semifinal stage through the final. Beyond sales at the booths, the economic impact also reached providers of tents, event equipment, sound systems, lighting, entertainment, and labor. Pekanbaru Mayor Agung Nugroho said the scale of transactions was positive for residents. On the final night of Argentina against Spain, he toured the stalls and handed out food and drinks to visitors. One MSME participant, Faris, said he was able to sell up to 600 satay skewers per day during the festival.
