Kejagung Detains Febrie Adriansyah, Takes Him to KPK Jail
The detention followed a second questioning as a new money-laundering case also ensnared the former special crimes deputy attorney general.
The Kejaksaan Agung detained former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes Febrie Adriansyah on Friday (24/7/2026) after an all-day examination at the Kejaksaan Agung compound in Jakarta. After being questioned until around 24.00 WIB, Febrie was taken directly to the KPK detention center. Kejaksaan Agung said he had already been named a suspect in a case involving bribery and gratuities tied to the handling of the PT ASABRI corruption case. This latest questioning also concerned money laundering under a new warrant dated 20 July 2026. Rudi Margono, coordinator of the special prosecutor team, said the money-laundering cluster adds to three earlier warrants: the ASABRI case, the PLTU Batubara case, and the Krakatau Steel case. Outside the KPK building, a group briefly held a demonstration after news of the detention spread.
